Dr Xiang (Nora) Chen studied Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in China and in Australia at the Sydney Institute.
Chinese medicine is an ancient approach to health care which seeks to balance and strengthen the qi or chi in the body; the energy that emanates from the earth and travels through the meridians that travel from the feet through the body to the head, giving us energy and life. Blocked chi causes congestion, fatigue and disease.
TCM treatments include acupuncture, herbal medicine, massage, cupping and gua sha, or spooning. Cupping and gua sha mat leave you with some temporary bruising of congested ares.
TCM is useful for chronic illness, skin conditions, infertility issues, women’s and men’s health, general fatigue and many of those nebulous conditions that ail us, but are not recognised by western medicine and which don’t have a name. When you just don’t feel right.
